Organic
While still a niche area the market for organic produce is growing annually and Ireland actually imports much of its organic requirements. We have a growing number of clients who have chosen to go the organic route. We assist them with their applications and with ongoing advice on adapting to the organic way. In January 2010 a new grant scheme to encourage organic production is expected to come on stream and Kirwan Agri Consultants will be assisting farmers to avail of the new grant on offer. We recently organised the 3rd annual organic cattle and sheep sale held in Birr, Co Offaly at which almost 200 cattle were offered for sale.
